This past weekend, I was faced with a potentially devastating challenge. VPI suffered a major equipment failure on our most critical production line. This line runs our most demanding product and this product has been in very high demand in recent weeks. When the driving coupler failed on the mixer for Line 3, the management group and I at VPI were thinking the worst. How in the world are we going to avoid shutting down Ford Motor Co. potentially loosing valuable customer relations? We were able to avoid all of these disastrous repercussions. With the help of you and your staff, we completed the seemingly insurmountable task of repairing the equipment in a timely manner. You and your staff performed beyond my expectations. The project was conceived and put together in a very short time. Many decisions were made on the fly. In particular, I would like to mention that I spoke with Mr. Brad Guthrie, of Elm International in Ann Arbor, MI with regard to the recent delivery of their casting machine. Mr. Guthrie advised that they were extremely pleased and impressed with the coordination of the delivery, as well as the unloading of the machine. He commented that the gentlemen from Allstates were extremely efficient and helpful in assisting their people with the unloading (actually your people did most of the work). Amron, LLC
Amron, LLC underwent a plant consolidation. Our plant in Waukesha, WI was closed and three production lines moved from the Waukesha plant to our remaining plant in Antigo, WI. Involved were 12 mechanical presses ranging from 20-Tons capacity to 600 Tons. Also, three major furnace lines, a zinc plating line, a phosphate coating line, and a large number of other items of production and finishing equipment. Allstates Rigging of Manitowoc was selected to do the rigging and trucking in addition to moving presses and other equipment from building to building in Antigo to make room for the Waukesha machinery. Allstates was the low bidder. The move as completed in a timely manner – not taking into account delays which were caused by Amron. The work was done to our satisfaction – Jon Thompson was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would recommend Allstates Rigging to anyone making a similar move. – Amron, LLC

I felt it necessary to congratulate you of the excellent service that VPI has received during the recent laser alignment of our extrusion lines. Prior to the alignment, it was obvious that our machines were not running parallel and level. Since then, our process has improved by manufacturing a higher quality, stress free product at increased output rates. I am greatly impressed by the customer focused attention we consistently receive from Allstates, and also the knowledgeable base from which your Millwrights draw. The spec.’s that VPI developed for Allstates Rigging to follow were tight. Rick Schmidt and his crew did an outstanding job in achieving, or in most cases, surpassing those spec.’s. The alignment equipment that you purchased is top notch. It is not only extremely accurate, but it also provides a detailed printout, which makes an excellent resource for future reference and troubleshooting.
